After dropping sandals for the hiking bros, Birkenstock is back with a collection of summery shoes…with a twist. Literally. the latest is no chunked-up clog or hairy Arizona wonder, but it certainly proves that a little braiding goes a long way (or I think that’s how the old saying goes).
After a couple of previews, Birkenstock has finally unleashed its "Braided" collection, an offering of, well, braided Boston clogs and Oita sandals. Things don’t get too crazy — or twisted, I should say — with Birkenstock’s newest collection. The brand simply bestows its beloved shoes with new, subtle hand-knitted straps, ditching the previous braid-free ones.
And for those who cherish the classic Birk energy, fear not. The brand’s renowned contoured cork footbed and velvety suede upper remains, now adorned in stunning shades of elemental blue, mink, or taupe.
