Cross-channel ferries are facing disruption today (Thursday) due to industrial action at the port of Calais.
Departures are continuing but with delays to check-in, arrivals and departures.
P&O Ferries warned that the French port is being impacted by national strike action in France throughout the day.
The company said: “We are working hard with authorities involved to improve the situation and would like to assure you that you will be on the next available departure once traffic is moving.”
DFDS said: “Due to industrial action we expect disruptions on our Calais route.
“Customers affected will be contacted via SMS with alternative travel options. Please keep an eye on our feeds for any further updates regarding this matter.”
